The minimum area unit of field management in the United States is 1 square foot, or 0.093 square meters, while the minimum area unit of field management in China is 1 mu, or 666.67 square meters - a difference of more than 7000 times. A group of Chinese and American comparative figures given by academicians are somewhat shocking. Liu Jingnan, former president of Wuhan University and President of Kunshan Duke University, said in Shanghai yesterday that the development of modern precision agriculture should not be extensive, but also intensive.
Academician Liu Jingnan, Academician Wang Maohua of Agricultural University of China and other experts and scholars from the two fields of agricultural science and navigation technology have made cross-border dialogue, and launched the topic of "Beidou + agriculture = precision agriculture" at the 14th Jinqiao Industrial Technology Innovation Conference. As a big country with thousands of years of agricultural civilization history, Beidou satellite navigation system, which is independently innovated by China, is continuously put into practice, and the mode of agricultural production in China is expected to change substantially. For example, in the future, it may be true that no one is farming.
GPS global positioning system dominated by the United States has long been applied to precision agriculture. Under the condition of highly automatic agriculture, agricultural production machinery receives the satellite positioning signal, follows the established route of self-help farming in the field, and even develops into intelligent agricultural machinery. Liu Jingnan believes that precision agriculture or precision agriculture requires satellite positioning accuracy to reach the level of centimeter or decimeter.
At present, China has successfully launched more than 20 Beidou navigation satellites, forming a huge constellation. Tianbeidou and Beidou foundation enhancement system can meet the needs of high-precision real-time positioning and navigation of centimeter level, national decimeter level and global meter level of farms. With this guidance, we can achieve the sowing of "centimeter precision" of soybean and other crops, the field precision management of decimeter precision, and the trans regional operation scheduling management of thousands of kilometers of tractors with meter precision, so as to meet the needs of precision agriculture and precision agriculture.
It may take some time for the driverless vehicles to really go on the road and form the driverless vehicle transportation system; then, the farming of the driverless agricultural machinery vehicles in the field may be realized earlier. According to Liu Jingnan, the Internet of things for agricultural vehicles in China, that is, the Internet of vehicles for agricultural machinery, is moving towards the stage of collaborative perception of people, vehicles, roads and environment.
"Unmanned autonomous agricultural machinery vehicles will be able to operate continuously for 24 hours." Academician Wang Maohua also believes that the automatic navigation technology of agricultural machinery can support night work and greatly reduce the labor intensity of agricultural workers. In the future, the land can be planted at night, and the utilization rate of agricultural machinery will be greatly improved.
Shi Zhong, director of Shanghai Agricultural Mechanization Management Office, said that intelligent agricultural machinery will become a new highlight of Shanghai's agricultural mechanization development during the 13th Five Year Plan period. At present, the Chongming production base of Guangming rice industry has used the automatic navigation system developed by Shanghai Huaxiao company for wheat planter; the Beidou navigation support system produced by Shanghai Sinan satellite navigation company has also been tested in the waimin base of Jiading. In the future, Shanghai will focus on the development of the application of intelligent agricultural machinery in the fields of land preparation, mechanical sowing, ditching and ridge cutting, which will lay a solid foundation for the further use of Internet of things technology to achieve accurate control.
Wang Maohua said that since the Beidou navigation satellite system officially provides regional services, domestic navigation enterprises have carried out a large number of "Beidou" transformation of agricultural machinery, and the precision advantage of Beidou application will promote the rapid development of intelligent agriculture, with a huge market prospect. In particular, since last year, the state has carried out the work of confirming, registering and issuing certificates for rural land. By 2020, it will build 800 million mu of high standard basic farmland and demarcate permanent basic farmland, making the countryside a key area for the application of Beidou navigation technology and surveying and mapping technology.
